And the new Moto GP World Champ is...

The Kentucky Kid, Nicky Hayden!

In a exciting final race of the season, Nicky held third position while
Valentino Rossi low-sided out of contention by lap 4 and had an uphill
battle to get back in the points. This was not to be and the Italian
finished in thirteenth place leaving an 5 point difference in the World
Championship Classification.

Old handcycling videos

I was going through my old files and came across some taken at the 2005 Tour of Britian Demo race. Thanks to John and Natalie for taking the film and cheering loads of encouragement.

Handcycle ride 29.9.06

Went out of a good ride on last Friday. There was no planned route (so like me). So I took off and followed my nose around North London.

First point of call was Palmers Green and I headed north up Green Lanes towards Enfield Town. Once there I went further north, turning onto Clay Hill and up towards Whitewebbs Park. I took a little detour towards
Theobalds Park but couldn't go any further as the road ends with some rather large residences.

I then headed back through
Forty Hall which got a bit twisty and steep. I then headed back down Green Lanes and turned off at Hedge Lane and went down the A10 back home. I covered a total of 21 miles or 35 km while only having a visit from the puncture fairy once on Whitewebbs Lane.
