Today's handcycle ride.

Well, the weather has been on the naff side this week, what with Tornado's and the like.

Today was bright but windy, so I took advantage of this and went out. As normal I headed up the Hertford Road (A1010) but when I reached Waltham Cross I turned right on to Eleanor Cross Road towards Waltham Abbey. I took the A121 towards the village of Sewardstone. A nice bit of road which climbs steadily up to the village and then drops down towards Chingford. I followed the road to Waltham Way which joins the North Circular (not for me!) I went down some cycle paths and followed the River Lea to the lock at Tottenham Marshes and then home.

I covered 18.7 miles (30.9km) and an average speed of 10.7 mph (17.2 kph) with a max speed of 28.3 mph (45.5 kph)
