August 2005 - The New Beginning.
Welcome to my site, not much at the moment but it will grow over time as more things happen.
I've been to Paris recently to watch the final stage of Le Tour de France. The most historic event that happened on that day was that a certain Lance Armstrong won a seventh consecutive time. Not just impressive as the most anyone has won the race was five times. I drove down to Paris taking my Dad as co-pilot and Mum as navigator, thankfully I know where Paris is as Mum slept and read all the way down and on the way back. We stayed with Mum and Dad's friends Robert and Christiane in Livry-Gargan.
The Sunday was spent on the Champs Elysées from 11am until gone 7pm, mostly so we could reserve a space by the barrier so there wouldn't need to use too much elbow shoving later in the day as it got really busy. The race itself was good, (so I heard) but I knew that we wouldn't see much but we would see the peleton 8 times and see the parade laps at the end of the race. I have some footage from my camera and I'll get them on here as soon as possible.
