April 2006 - Summer's around the corner.
The winter has dragged on, but this has not stopped me from going out at the weekends on my handcycle so I have clocked up some good mileage. But now the evenings are getting lighter and that can only been a good thing. I have just been to the first Handcycle Training camp of the New Year at Stoke Mandeville. There were 3 sessions over the weekend: Saturday morning was a track session which involved some fast group work and we covered about 10 miles just there. The afternoon session was a road work session around the lanes of Aylesbury. We covered 15 miles in total and at the end I was good a properly knackered. Sunday morning we covered the same route as the day before which was good as I know what to expect and where the hills and headwinds were. The problem was the hills and headwinds were all ganging up in the same place.
